Brooks Iwamoto, M. Ed

Mr. Iwamoto has been a mathematics teacher at Golden Valley High School since 2018.  Mr. Iwamoto is originally from Santa Clarita and graduated from Hart High School in 2008.  He would then attend College of the Canyons before transferring to UCLA.  Mr. Iwamoto worked as a math tutor for a long time before becoming a teacher and became well versed in all math levels from Algebra 1 through Calculus and is always willing to give a helping hand.  His favorite subject is trigonometry and is excited to be teaching Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus this year as they both involve trigonometry! One of Mr. Iwamoto's goals is to have a safe space to learn and ask questions, so his room is normally open during brunch or lunch to allow students to get help with difficult math concepts if needed.  Mr. Iwamoto is also the advisor of ASU and runs Math Intervention after school on Tuesdays.
