This February, Child & Family Center is hosting their 5^th Annual Night of Expression Art Exhibit in recognition of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. This event was created to provide youth a safe place to showcase their talents and creativity while bringing awareness to the issue of teen dating violence. Studies show that 1 in 3 teens in the United States will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they are dating and only a third of those students will tell someone about the abuse. Our Night of Expression helps give a voice to these students as they share their stories of empowerment, advocacy, and survival through art, poetry, song, and dance.

The event location is still to be determined, but the showcase will be held on February 24^th from 6-7:30pm. This event is free and open to the entire community in the hopes that together we can see an end of dating violence and a strengthened community support for our youth.
