Golden Valley High School is hosting The San Fernando Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s 4th Annual African-American College Planning Conference on Saturday, October 22th from 8:00 – 1:30 pm. This event is open to all high school students and their parents, but workshops will focus on the needs of those students in grades 10-12. The Conference will provide a variety of workshops including Financial Aid and Scholarships, Writing Your Personal Statement, How to Get Into your Dream College and a Recent College Graduate Panel. The workshops will be followed by a College Fair focused on southern California colleges and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s). Krystle Evans Assistant Coach for UC Irvine Women’s Basketball will be the special Keynote Speaker for this event. Join us in helping your student plan their future! Seats are limited.
