Hart District Presents "Parent and Student Empowerment Night"

The district is hosting a free Parent and Student Empowerment Night on October 9th, 2014. This is the first of four empowerment nights of the school year. This presentation will focus on drug and alcohol awareness. It will be held at La Mesa Junior High School from 6-8pm in the MPR. There will be two guest speakers: Bob Sharits with ACTION family counseling and Detective Velek of the Juvenile Intervention Team. Both speakers will present need-to-know information about drugs and alcohol in our community, how parents can help at home, how students can refrain from using, ways to deal with peer pressure, and support resources that are available in the community. All district parents are invited to attend the event. Students under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian. Please come and get informed. To sign up, please fill out the form below.
